It is my pleasure to extend warm greetings
to all officers, employees and stakeholders
of Power Transmission Corporation of
Uttarakhand Ltd (PTCUL). As we all know that
PTCUL is a new organization in the field of
Power Transmission and Load Despatch and
therefore, there are many challenges ahead
of us. PTCUL as a new and growing
organization is learning fast to keep pace
with the changing time. We are evolving and
adopting business practices to transform
PTCUL into one of the leading STU in the
country.
These are my vision and mission for PTCUL in
coming years and for this I am leaving no
stone unturned.
Vision:
Build, Operate and Maintain Efficient and
Reliable Transmission System within the
State.
Mission:
We will continuously improve in state of art
technology and build organizational
capability to provide efficient and reliable
transmission system and ensure timely
implementation of project within cost, time
and quality parameters within framework of
environmental and regulatory norms.
Some of the achievements of PTCUL during
last six years are highlighted as under:

The Annual
Transmission Charge of PTCUL has
witnessed significant growth from a
modest Rs. 29.54 Crore to Rs. 101.74
Crore from FY 2004-05 to FY 2010-11
correspondingly.

The
Transformation capacity available at
formation of PTCUL in June-2004 at 400 /
220 / 132 KV voltage level was 2393.5
MVA which has now increased to 5152.50
MVA.
-
System
availability has improved upto 99%.
-
Losses in
the Transmission system is around 1.86%,
inspite of having fairly large number of
transmission lines of 132/220 KV voltage
level.
-
We have
established project organization and
state of art Engineering / Contract &
Procurement / Information Technology
sections in the organization, and have
been striving for overall improvement.

We are
building Ring Fenced Integrated
Transmission System for evacuation of
power for upcoming Hydro Electric
Generating Stations in Uttarakhand.

We are
building Transmission System to
strengthen PTCUL’s transmission network
to cater to the ever increasing load
demand of state.
-
We are
committed to roll out modern IT enabled
system ERP system for seamless
connectivity of Business Process.

The ultra
modern SCADA application and state of
art State Load Despatch Centre at Dehra
Dun and Sub Load Despatch centres at
Rishikesh and Kashipur is currently
under implementation.

We are also
planning to have our own OPGW network
for providing fiber optic links to
important load centers.

We have
created a new benchmark in the field of
HR initiatives, Training and
Development.

We have
implemented “Best Sub-Station Award
Scheme” to promote/inculcate an
achievement orientation among all
employees as part of our organization
wide improvement initiative.
